End of Life Notice

Collage-E and Collage-L

Effective July 1, 2012, Collage-E and Collage-L are frozen at version 3.1 and so do not include Hybrid Engraving.

Important: Support for Collage-S* is not affected by this notice. We continue to develop new features, fix problems, and test new hardware and new OS's for Collage Layout System.

Collage-E and Collage-L were limited versions of Collage-S. All features in Collage-E and Collage-L are included in Collage-S so the reasons to choose these products no longer exist. Because of this, Ohio GT will no longer develop new features for these products.

We will make our best effort to solve any problems that may occur in version 3.1 of Collage-E or Collage-L, but that support ended when Collage version 4.1 was released.

RIP Support

The end of support for Collage-E and Collage-L is an important issue with regards to the Jaws RIP built in to all versions of Collage. When third-party software (such as Esko or ArtPro) change how they create PDF or PostScript files, that can affect how Collage's RIP interprets those PDF or PostScript files. Note that we no longer support JawsRIP.

Upgrading

Upgrading to Collage-S provides all the features you are familiar with, plus additional output options, step-and-repeat of one-up images, and much more. We continue to develop new features for Collage-S, such as the exciting new Hybrid Engraving System.

* Note: For the purposes of this document, "Collage-S" also means Collage client-server.
